Cold and Flu Season is Upon Us!

Well its that time of Year, the cold and flu season is upon us.  What are some of the things we can do to keep health!  Well, first of all make sure you eat right, plenty of fresh fruits and veggies, drink plenty of water, and get plenty of rest. Since many of us run ourselves ragged, supplementation becomes important.  Make sure you are getting plenty of “good” fats in your diet.  These fats will help protect the cell walls from invasion by bacteria and viruses, not to mention they help this wonderful engine we call “body” run much more efficiently. Omega 3’s & Omega 6’s. Make sure you are taking enzymes to help breakdown all that great food we are putting into our bodies with.  We want to make sure we get every useable morsel.  A little extra Flora is always a good idea as well.

Now what happens if we still have a lapse and get sick?  What are some of the things we can take to help us get back to health?  I like using VS-C.  This formula is a great viral fighter.  It comes in a liquid formula, as well as capsule, so it can be used with children and those not able to swallow capsules.  Echinacea with Golden seal is excellent for bacteria infections. And also comes in liquid.  Ultimate Echinacea contains 3 different types of Echinacea that really bring the Immune System back up and help to clean put the Lymphatic System.  A clean Lymphatic system is important because its what moves out the “unwanted invaders” in our bodies.

For coughs try some ALJ, Fenugreek & Thyme, Chinese Lung Support, or Breathe EZ. How about using some of our great essential oils: Lavender , Helichrysum, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus  will all help to give relief and stimulate the Immune System.

A few of my favorites to use are Olive Leaf Extract, Colloidal Silver and Elderberry defense. What ever you chose to use, remember to always give yourself time to relax and heal
